Screwball Boxes
These are made from the seeds of palm trees. Each nut has a flaw in it, and in order to eliminate the flaw and do something with it, I make small screws out of African Blackwood - I am currently making standard slot pan heads and wing nuts - and chase holes for them in the boxes. The scews have 20 tpi threads and the boxes join with 16 tpi threads. The boxes are generally about 2.25 inches in diameter. |
